More service!

Bonjour y'all! How is everyone doing? I hope that you are doing well and are having fun! This week as gone by really fast and it was really good. We did a ton of service and saw many blessings come from it. It was awesome!

Last Wednesday we started off by helping our Bishop again with his bathroom. This time he had talked to a plumber and he said to completely gut the room so we did. We pulled up all three layers of wood flooring to get to the cross beams of the ceiling below us. It was really fun but Moellmer was scared of slipping off the beams and falling through the drywall so I did a lot of the work. As we were almost finished with the bathroom we got a text from the elders in Gramby asking if we could stay after our meeting the next day to help with a service project. Of course we agreed to help but we knew we would be a little tired ahah. After we got done we went out and did some finding and got about 5 solid return appointments. We also knocked into this super solid dude Named Reno. Our conversation started with me and him speaking in french but slowly turned into English with Elder Moellmer. It was really cool and we talked about a whole bunch of different things but focused on personal revelation and the fact that we have a living Prophet today. He was super interested. We left him with a brochure on the restoration and invited him to read it.

Thursday we had district council at Gramby and we had a really cool discussion on 4th Nephi. There is only one chapter but it is full of a ton of cool truths. After the council we helped them and some members of their branch move this really big and heavy medical bed. It came in about 5 parts and was just kinda weird. It was really good to be able to help them and get to know some of the members over there a little better. Once we got home we passed by our ami Emmanise. She is finally home from her trip in Haiti. She brought her mother back with her. We had a good little conversation with her and set a return appointment for later. We then passed by someone we knocked into about a week ago. His daughter opened the door and was just really curious as to who we were. We asked him if they had some time to meet with us that day and he said they were busy and his daughter asked him why we couldn't come in aha. He explained to her that we were missionaries that talked about religion and I added that we talk about Jesus Christ as well and her eyes just lit up with Joy and curiosity. It was sooo cool to see that in her. He continued to say that they were busy and kinda ignored his daughter a bit but told us to come back at a latter time and we could talk. His daughter will a great member of Christ church one day!

Friday was a little less exciting. We did have two really good lessons. The first was with our ami Diana. We were planning on having a lesson on the Restoration but we ended up talking about the Word of Wisdom. It was really good. The member we had with us was able to connect with her very well and helped her understand it better. It was a good lesson. After that we had a lesson with Patrick and he taught us about faith. It was really good. Everything in the gospel ties back to faith one way or another. There is a reason why it is the first principle of the gospel. So important! That night the ward was having a meeting on financial independence and Patrick showed up and stayed for it. It was pretty cool.

Saturday was one of the best! It was Cabane a Sucre! Its basically the peak of maple syrup production season so the ward comes together for a brunch were they get a whole bunch of food and then drench it with syrup. It was really good. Our jobs for it was to take food to the tables and then occupy the children while the rest of the food was cooking. I was just basically running around the church for a bit to keep the kids away from the food. We then all ate together and then played some Games. Elder Moellmer and I won the Jeopardy game. It wasn't too bad. We then ran over to this tiny town an hour away to help with some service. Same people we helped last Saturday too. We helped them clean some of their cabinets and lay down the flooring in the living room. It was really cool. The mother then asked us if we could pray with them before we left because that's what we did the last time. It was so cool to see her ask for that. We then went back to the church and played volleyball with our gang. Same big group of people we had last time. At the end of it Fordi asked us who was going to say the closing prayer and then we all decided it would be his friend that he brought. He agreed and said this beautiful prayer and thanked God for this group of friends that he can call family. It was super nice to hear that they were all feeling welcome there and liked it.

Sunday was kinda slow too. Church was really good and we had the bishop and his councilors give talks about the General conference. It was good. The rest of the day we spent finding and passing by our amis.

Yesterday we had a nice time to go finding and found 2 new people who seem awesome! We had a super lesson with Emmanise and our member friend William. It was really good and we talked about baptism. She didn't quite understand the reasoning on why we needed a baptism but then we read some scriptures and read some things from the brochure and she understood the importance of baptism. We also invited her to church for Easter and she said she would come! She is doing super well!

That's about it for this week. I hope you are having fun. Keep being awesome and try to invite someone to Church this to Celebrate Easter with you!

Love you all!
